38-13 33rd Street in Long Island City holds 270 homes, 198 rental and 72 condominium, and INPUT programmed and designed every amenity space between them around one move: all amenities open onto a garden. The pool room, the dining lounge, and the lobby itself all face the same planted space through glass, so the amenities read as one sequence wrapped around a center rather than a set of separate rooms.
The palette stays disciplined, walnut, dark stone, pale seamed paneling, and then breaks on purpose: a rust velvet sectional in the lobby, a green fireplace wall in the lounge, sculptural orange chairs at the game table.
